Barn ablaze
Fire in Bad Münstereifel-Lanzerath: Residents and Pets Evacuated Safely
A barn fire broke out in Bad Münstereifel-Lanzerath on September 5th at 1:20 AM, located on Hochturm Street. The incident has caused some damage, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.
According to reports, a neighbor alerted the police to the fire, and the local fire department swiftly arrived to extinguish it. However, the extent of property damage cannot be determined at this time.
The 38-year-old resident of the affected hut woke up to the smell of smoke and discovered that the barn attached to their house was on fire. Along with a 36-year-old individual and four dogs, they evacuated the house safely.
The fire spread from the barn to parts of the 36-year-old's house, but thankfully, both individuals and their pets managed to escape unharmed. The owner of the affected hut also found their cat and a fish safe inside the house after the fire.
Unfortunately, the house is no longer habitable due to the fire damage. Police investigators from Euskirchen have begun investigating the cause of the fire, and the scene has been secured.
At this moment, the identity of the owner of the affected hut remains unknown, as the search results do not provide this information.
As the investigation continues, the community hopes for a swift resolution to understand the cause of the fire and for the affected residents to find a new home.
