In a significant step forward for the development of a digital European securities landscape, Clearstream, a post-trade subsidiary of Deutsche Boërse, has successfully completed the issuance and settlement of two €5 million commercial paper transactions on its decentralized D7 DLT platform.

The transactions, which were part of the Eurosystem wholesale DLT trials using central bank money for settlement, mark a milestone in the adoption of digital assets in the financial industry.
