Autumn kick-off marked by inclement weather conditions, featuring fog and rain throughout the week.

The upcoming week promises a variety of weather conditions across Germany, according to meteorologists. As autumn officially begins on Monday, the country is expected to experience a transition from rainy days to summer-like heatwaves.

Monday will see clouds and rain moving in from the southwest, as reported by the German Weather Service (DWD). Rain is expected to fall in Baden overnight from Sunday to Monday, and spread across the region during the day on Monday. However, no heavy rain is expected on this day. The maximum temperatures on Monday will range between 18 and 22 degrees Celsius.

On Tuesday, rain will continue into the day, with locally isolated thunderstorms and gusty winds. In some places, it may become foggy during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday. Expected high temperatures on Tuesday will range between 16 and 22 degrees Celsius. Rain will clear up in the eastern part of Baden-Württemberg by Tuesday. Locally, there may be thunder and lightning on this day.

The forecast for the following weekend, however, paints a different picture. Meteorologists predict that at the beginning of the upcoming weekend, warm air masses will bring mostly sunny conditions and summer-like temperatures in Germany. Temperatures are expected to rise up to about 28°C and possibly exceed 30°C in the west. No significant precipitation is expected, but after the weekend, a shift to cooler, more unsettled autumn weather will occur. A heatwave defined by at least three consecutive days of 30°C or more could still occur in some regions, including potentially in September, but such events are more typical for midsummer.

Some weather models predict a late summer comeback next weekend, with temperatures possibly even reaching 30 degrees Celsius in some areas. This suggests a potential late summer resurgence, a welcome sight for those seeking warmer weather before the arrival of autumn.

It's important to note that while meteorologists can make predictions, it is not possible to make reliable predictions this far in advance. The weather can be unpredictable, and changes can occur quickly. As always, it's a good idea to check the latest forecasts regularly for the most accurate information.

As we move through the week, we can expect a mix of rainy days and potential summer-like heatwaves. Stay tuned for more updates on the changing weather conditions in Germany.
