Autumn break AI and fairy tale creative workshop for kids, set for October 20-22, 2025.
The Arnsberg City Library is hosting an exciting workshop titled "AI and Fairy Tales" during the upcoming autumn break. This three-day event, taking place from October 20 to 22, 2025, aims to introduce children aged 9 to 11 to the creative use of AI applications.
During the workshop, participants will learn about the structure of fairy tales and their typical features. They will also be taught a technique called prompting, which they can use to create initial illustrations and images for their stories using AI.
The workshop will be held from 9:30 to 12:00 each day and is free to attend. Registration for the workshop is now open via email at [email protected]. Places for the workshop are limited, so be sure to register early to secure your spot.
The workshop will culminate in a public presentation of the participants' work on October 23, 2025, at 17:00 in Arnsberg City Library. The presentation will include children reading their stories aloud and a small exhibition of created images. The event is open to parents, friends, and anyone interested.
The workshop is being held in collaboration with the city's freeRAUM lab and freelance journalist Franziska Reinl. This unique opportunity is a great way for children to explore the intersection of technology and storytelling, and to create their own fairy tales using AI.
So, if you have a child who loves fairy tales and is interested in technology, be sure to register them for the "AI and Fairy Tales" workshop at Arnsberg City Library this October. It's an experience they won't forget!
