Auto industry pioneer, Elektrobit, unveiled Software Defined Vehicles (SDV) advancements and collaborations during IAA Mobility 2025 event.

Elektrobit, a leading provider of software solutions for the automotive industry, is set to showcase its expanding line of open-source and virtual development solutions at IAA Mobility in Munich, from September 9-14, 2025.

The company's presence at the event underscores its commitment to driving innovation and transformation in the automotive industry, as highlighted by CEO Maria Anhalt. IAA Mobility 2025 is a significant event for the automotive ecosystem and the direction of travel for Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs), according to Anhalt.

Empowering UX/UI Developers with Integrated Toolchain

Elektrobit will demonstrate how its solutions are integrated with Horizon, the virtual reference toolchain in collaboration with Google Cloud and Accenture. The combined solution leverages an integrated toolchain, Automotive Design Compose (ADC), Elektrobit's reference virtual device, and their Theming Engine, to empower UX/UI developers to iterate fast, virtually, and without constraints.

Collaboration is the Catalyst for Change

Partnerships and collaboration are the catalysts for change in the automotive industry, and Elektrobit is driving this transformation with solutions that empower automakers. Maria Anhalt emphasizes this, stating that collaboration is crucial for the industry's evolution.

Demonstrations at IAA Mobility 2025

At HERE's virtual development ecosystem in Hall A1.A11, Elektrobit is demonstrating software for accelerating next-gen in-vehicle infotainment, navigation, and SDV capabilities. At the AUMOVIO booth in Hall B1.B01, Elektrobit will demonstrate a cloud-native, hardware-independent environment for in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) development.

In a session at Google's Hall B1.B10 on September 10, 10 am entitled "From Cloud to Cockpit - HMI development with no-code customization", Elektrobit speakers Bertolt Schmidt and Sergej Schmunk will demonstrate the use of Google Design Compose for HMI development using a no-code customization approach.

At the Sonatus booth in Hall A1.B14, Elektrobit will showcase virtual IVI development and OTA demonstrations. Sonatus will highlight its OTA solution, Sonatus Updater, running within Elektrobit's virtual IVI development environment.

Scaling Automotive Safety with Open-Source Software

Elektrobit's Isaac Trefz will give a speech on September 9, 11.30 am at the IAA Theater sponsored by AWS, discussing scaling automotive safety with open-source software for next-generation SDVs using Elektrobit's industry-first EB corbos Linux for Safety Applications on AWS. The EB corbos Linux solution leverages an AWS-native deployment of safety-ready components including hypervisors and open-source Linux, and is ASIL B-compliant and open-source.

A Strong Global Ecosystem

Dr. Siegfried Dirr, Head of Strategic Business Development at Elektrobit, will attend IAA Mobility 2025 to share details about Elektrobit's strong global ecosystem. Elektrobit will appear alongside partners AWS, Google, HERE, and Sonatus, showcasing open-source and virtual development solutions for software-defined vehicles (SDVs), including no-code humanโ€“machine interface development with Google, EB corbos Linux for safety applications with AWS, and contributions to HERE's virtual development ecosystem and over-the-air updates with Sonatus.

Elektrobit's contributions to the virtual development ecosystem reflect a commitment to modular architecture, cloud-first development, and open collaboration for the SDV era. The solutions on display offer new levels of speed, flexibility, and scalability for delivering smarter, safer, and more sustainable vehicles.
