Fifteen hundred euro incentive available. - Authorities seeking armed robber in Marburg area
On February 19, 2024, at 7:45 pm, an attempted robbery occurred at an Edeka beverage store located on "Am Richtsberg" street. The suspect, dressed in dark clothes and wearing a gray stocking mask, barged into the store. He had on rubber gloves and a gold watch became visible from under his rain jacket's right sleeve. Armed with a pistol, he pointed it at a security employee and demanded the money from the cash register. But the security person refused to give him the money.
Unable to open the cash register himself, the robber fled with nothing. Authorities in Marburg are currently investigating this attempted aggravated robbery. However, they haven't caught the perpetrator yet. The prosecutor's office has applied to the local court's investigating judge to have the surveillance camera's recordings published.
A reward of 1,500 euros is available from the prosecutor's office in Marburg for any information that could help them solve this crime and capture the criminal.
The suspect may be responsible for other robberies in Marburg since July 2023 until April 2024.
