Dortmund Man Critically Injured in Alleged Attack
A 52-year-old man from Dortmund is fighting for his life after a violent incident on Friday evening. The attack occurred around 20:45 in front of the Nord Sports Hall on Münsterstraße.
According to the Dortmund Police, the man was involved in a dispute with a group of five dark-clothed men aged between 20 and 30. The altercation escalated, leading to the man being severely injured. The perpetrators, believed to be the same group, are said to have fled the scene after inflicting multiple injuries on the victim using a sharp object.
The police have launched a thorough investigation into the incident, with the Dortmund Public Prosecutor's Office and Dortmund Police working together. The police have also established a homicide commission to oversee the investigation.
An ambulance was called to the scene immediately after witnesses found the injured man. He was taken to a hospital, where his condition is currently critical.
