Cologne Police Search for Teen Suspects in Serious Attack
In the early hours of Saturday, September 6, 2025, a 56-year-old man from Bergisch Gladbach was severely injured in an attack on Florastraße in Cologne-Nippes. The suspects, who are still at large, are described as being around 16-20 years old, with most of them wearing jogging pants.
The attack took place around 4:30 AM while the victim was on his way to his car outside a nearby bar where he works as a security guard. Witnesses reported that the suspects approached the victim and attacked him with punches and blows to the head. After the attack, the suspects fled in different directions.
The victim was taken to a hospital following the attack, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing. The homicide squad is evaluating video footage from nearby private cameras, and a suspected laughing gas canister found at the scene is being examined for traces.
