Authorities seek evidence leading to the perpetrator
In Kassel, emergency services were required on Wednesday evening after a 23-year-old woman was injured by an unknown assailant at Friedrichsplatz. The incident occurred around 20:30 near the seating banks.

The suspect, described as approximately 17 to 20 years old, 1.85 to 1.90 meters tall, with a darker complexion, dark hair with a middle parting, bushy eyebrows, and wearing a dark winter jacket, approached from a group of about five people and provoked the woman without reason. An argument ensued, during which the suspect violently kicked the woman's knee.
The suspect and his companions fled in the direction of Opernplatz after the incident. Witnesses who can provide information about the incident or the suspect are asked to call the police in Kassel on 0561 - 9100.
The woman was with a friend at the time of the incident and was taken to a hospital following the violent kick. The police are investigating the case as grievous bodily harm, and the identity of the suspect is currently under police investigation and has not been publicly disclosed.
