Authorities conducting a search for potential explosives in a kiosk located on Frankfurt Street due to suspected detonation.

In a shocking turn of events, a suspected explosion occurred in a kiosk on Frankfurter Street, in the area of the 130s house numbers, in Neu-Isenburg, South East Hesse, on Sunday evening around 19:45.

The area around the kiosk has been cordoned off, and evidence securing measures are being carried out. Witnesses who saw suspicious persons or vehicles in the vicinity of the kiosk and can provide information are asked to contact the Criminal Police at 069 8098-1234.

A person present in the kiosk sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by an ambulance crew. The extent of the property damage cannot yet be estimated.

Investigations have been initiated, and a case of attempted arson is suspected. Further investigations, including into the background, are ongoing.
