Austria's Top Luxury Resorts Unveil Major Wellness and Dining Upgrades

Two luxury resorts in eastern Austria have expanded their facilities with major investments. Reiters Supreme in Bad Tatzmannsdorf and St. Martins Therme & Lodge in Frauenkirchen now offer upgraded wellness areas, new dining options, and family-friendly features. The upgrades follow a rise in visitor numbers and positive reviews in recent years.

Reiters Supreme, an adults-only retreat for guests aged 16 and above, has completed a €6 million expansion. The resort's wellness oasis now spans 9,000 square metres, featuring saunas, pools, and brine baths. A recent addition includes 1,100 extra square metres to the sauna complex, along with around 200 new loungers. Guests can also enjoy an open show kitchen serving a variety of dishes, all prepared to high standards.

The resort's grounds include enclosures with animals such as sheep, chickens, and water buffalo. Despite its focus on adults, a separate section called Finest Family caters to families with children.

Meanwhile, St. Martins Therme & Lodge has also enhanced its offerings. While exact visitor numbers remain undisclosed, estimates suggest the resort attracts between 200,000 and 300,000 guests annually. Online reviews on platforms like TripAdvisor and Booking.com have averaged 4.5 out of 5 over the past two years, reflecting growing popularity since the pandemic. The lodge features a lakeside sauna complex reserved for hotel guests, as well as a dedicated children's sauna at scheduled times. A breakfast buffet with regional specialities, including National Park sausages, is also available.

The upgrades at both resorts come as part of a broader trend of rising interest in wellness tourism. With expanded facilities and improved guest experiences, the resorts aim to attract even more visitors in the coming years. The investments reflect confidence in the region's appeal as a destination for relaxation and family holidays.
