Austria’s 2025 Lottery Boom: 43 Winners Hit the Jackpot in a Record Year

The year 2025 proved exceptionally lucky for Austrian lottery players, with 43 individuals matching all six numbers. Of these, 36 secured multimillion-euro prizes. The Austrian Lotteries GmbH oversaw the draws, which followed the popular '6 out of 45' format throughout the year.

The biggest jackpot of the year reached €11.5 million, split equally among three winners. Another standout win came in Upper Austria, where a single ticket matched all six numbers for €9.68 million—the fifth-largest prize in Austrian lottery history.

Regional records were also set in Vorarlberg and Burgenland. A player in Vorarlberg claimed €8.27 million, while Burgenland saw its highest win at €7.83 million. Feldkirch, a district in Vorarlberg, emerged as the luckiest area, producing four six-number winners. Most winning tickets—27 in total—came from standard slips, while 11 were Quick Pick entries and five from system bets. The number 27 appeared most frequently, drawn 30 times, whereas 37 was absent for 70 consecutive draws. Notably, at least one six-number match occurred every month.

The 2025 lottery results highlighted the enduring appeal of Austria’s '6 out of 45' game. With regular multimillion-euro wins and consistent monthly matches, the year reinforced the lottery’s status as a major source of life-changing prizes. Feldkirch’s repeated success also marked it as a standout location for big wins.
