Hyundai has announced that it will debut a new concept model, the Ioniq 2 compact EV, at the IAA Mobility Show 2025 in Munich, Germany on September 9, 2025. The Ioniq 2, unlike its predecessors, will not have a crossover shape and will instead feature a hatchback silhouette with a fastback-style rear end and an integrated ducktail spoiler.
The design of the Ioniq 2 resembles the recent Ioniq 6 facelift, boasting sleek, connected LED strips for the headlights and taillamps. Teaser images of the Ioniq 2 have been released, but details about the vehicle remain under wraps. The Ioniq 2 is expected to enter production after its debut.
Meanwhile, KTM, an Austrian motorcycle manufacturer now majority-owned by Indian company Bajaj Auto, has unveiled the KTM 160 Duke. This streetfighter motorcycle aims to offer a balance between daily usability, youthful styling, and adrenaline rush. The KTM 160 Duke delivers performance and an edgy design, making it an accessible, everyday-friendly motorcycle.
The KTM 160 Duke is a replacement for the 125 Duke and is positioned below the 200 Duke. The model was developed with significant involvement from Bajaj Auto, which has invested heavily in KTM's development and production. However, specific individual developers or teams for the 160 Duke model are not publicly detailed.
In other news, Maruti Suzuki True Value reported sales of 4.92 lakh units in FY24-25, making it one of the largest networks of used car retailers in India. The company, which operates on values of warmth, simplicity, transparency, reliability, and professionalism, has sold over 60 lakh pre-owned cars since its inception in 2001.
