The grand finale of Silk Way Star, Asia’s first major vocal competition, will take place in Astana on 22 November. The event marks a collaboration between Kazakhstan’s Presidential TV and Radio Corporation and China Media Group (CMG). Performers from 12 countries will compete in front of a global audience, with the winner decided by a mix of jury scores and public votes.
Preparations for the show have involved a team of around 40 people, including five stylists and renowned costume designer Anarbek Zhardemov. Together, they have created nearly 500 costumes for contestants, ballet dancers, judges, and hosts. The styling team describes this as their first international project on such a large scale.
