Astana and Almaty light up with concerts, festivals and world-class opera this week

Astana and Almaty are hosting a busy week of cultural and sporting events. From opera and concerts near me to exhibitions and festivals, there is something for everyone. Many performances will take place between November 21 and 23, offering a mix of local and international talent.

The week kicks off on November 21 with the Eastern Bazaar patchwork festival at the State Central Museum of Kazakhstan. Visitors can explore traditional textiles and handmade crafts throughout the day.

On November 22, music lovers have several options. The Moldanazar Solo Concert will take place at Qazaqconcert, while the Music, Dance and Songs of Korea concert will be held at the State Academic Korean Musical Comedy Theater. Meanwhile, the Rachmaninoff evening concert will feature classical piano works at Aubakirova Art Space. The Sary Dala concert is also scheduled for the same evening at 32 Kenesary Street.

Sports fans can catch the HC Almaty vs. HC Arlan hockey match on November 22 and 23 at Halyk Arena. The two-day event promises intense competition between the rival teams.
