Assessment of Trump's proposed actions towards Gaza attracting controversy

During his term, which lasted four years, Trump proposed a controversial plan for the Gaza Strip, a region on the Mediterranean Sea between Israel and Egypt, home to approximately 2 million Palestinians.

The ongoing war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip had resulted in many cities being destroyed, leaving many Palestinians homeless. In an effort to redevelop the Gaza Strip, Trump suggested that Palestinians could move to neighboring countries like Egypt or Jordan temporarily while the region was being rebuilt. He also proposed turning the Gaza Strip into the "Riviera" of the Middle East.

However, experts and politicians worldwide, including from Egypt, Jordan, China, Russia, the EU, and Germany's Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock, criticized Trump's proposal.
