Artwork on streets will revitalize Nordhorn once more
The city of Nordhorn is gearing up for a thrilling cultural extravaganza as the 34th International Street Culture Festival "Nordhorn Marvels + Laughs" returns on September 6th and 7th, 2025. Organized by Rena Meyer from the Cultural Office of the City of Nordhorn and curated by Kathrin Bahr, this event promises to transform the city center into a pulsating stage full of surprises.
This year's festival boasts an array of international stars and exciting newcomers, offering a colorful mix of performances that will captivate audiences of all ages.
Mareike Koch, a German artist, will mesmerize the crowd with her aerial arts performances. Koch's performances combine acrobatic precision with dance elegance, showcasing a balance between strength and poetry.
Duo Mio, another German act, will tell a quiet, humorous tale of going through life together. Their performance features juggling, acrobatics, dance, and clownish moments, promising a delightful journey for the audience.
Jens Ohle, a German artist, will perform "Artistic Comedy to Laugh Diagonally," featuring aerial acrobatics, high-wheel tricks, magic, juggling, and dry humor.
Hendrick-Jan de Stuntman & Merel Kamp, from the Netherlands, will perform "Springtime," a romantic comedy in silent film style. Both actors will be suspended from rusted steel springs, creating a unique and visually striking performance.
The Argentine artist part of the trio called Tridiculous will bring pole acrobatics with humor to the festival. Their show, also called "Tridiculous," combines breakdance, slapstick, beatbox, strapaten, pole, and singing in a dynamic and playful performance full of energy and humor.
ManoAmano, an Argentinian duo, will transport the audience to a dream world where bodies defy gravity with their pole acrobatics performance "NOSO3."
Fraser Hooper, a New Zealand clown, will bring "Funny Business" to Nordhorn. His performance features a stunt duck, a human fish, eccentric dance, and a surreal boxing match.
In addition to these acts, audiences can look forward to the skurrilous aristocratic duo Super Bammer: Boris and the Baroness from the Netherlands, who will perform with a giant, hairy "ride."
The festival will also feature the mystical-clownish fortune teller Mademoiselle Prrrr...: Oracle To Go!, who uses unique oracle methods, including rosemary and confetti blessings.
Jochen, the Elephant, a 1.10-meter-tall, lovable, and mischievous character performed by Matthias Trautmann, will also return to enchant audiences at the festival.
AuGusto, a clown homage to those who have dedicated their lives to laughter, filled with warmth, nostalgia, and surprises, will also be part of the festival.
