=================================================================================

From Saturday, June 1st, the Harburg Station will play host to an exciting new exhibition, titled "The Hallway." This is the first institutional solo exhibition for artist Noémie Barbaglia, and it features a large-scale sculptural installation that explores themes of social relationships, space, visibility, and invisibility.

Upon entering the art association, visitors will find themselves crossing invisible thresholds that mark the specific rules within the institutional framework. Barbaglia's work in this exhibition is a sculptural intervention that is in tension with the architecture of the space, reflecting and challenging the unique location of the art association in the transit situation of the Harburg Station.

The veil is a significant symbol in Noémie Barbaglia's work, representing the inside and outside, and the before and after. In "The Hallway," she uses this metaphor to explore our own position in the structure of visible and invisible spaces. The themes of the exhibition are influenced by Michel Foucault's concept of heterotopia, spaces where social relationships are reflected, represented, dissolved, or reversed.

The installation at the Harburg Art Association is made from materials like wood, plaster, fiberglass, and resin. The exhibition will be open until August 25th, with visiting hours Wednesday to Sunday from 2 pm to 6 pm. A curator-led tour of the exhibition will take place on Thursday, June 13th at 5 pm.

The art space at the Harburg Art Association is distinct from the surrounding everyday life, offering a unique and thought-provoking experience for visitors. The art association has a glass entrance door and offers free admission.

The exhibition will be inaugurated on Friday, May 31st at 7 pm. If you're in the Harburg area, we highly recommend taking the time to visit "The Hallway" and immerse yourself in Noémie Barbaglia's captivating and thought-provoking installation.
