Arson of Farm Ratherkämp
In the heart of Leverkusen, Germany, a fire incident occurred on May 30, 2025, at approximately 22:15. The incident took place in the rear yard area of a property on Ratherkamp Street.
Upon arrival, the Fire Department Leverkusen found a garden hut fully ablaze. The fire department, along with forces from both professional fire stations, the units Bürig and Wiesdorf of the volunteer fire department, and personnel from the rescue service, quickly mobilised to tackle the blaze.
The fire department's swift response was crucial, as the fire's location made it difficult to access the site. To ensure the safety of neighbouring residential buildings, several incident command posts were established.
During the operation, several gas cylinders were found in the annex of the garden hut and were recovered and secured by the fire department. The garden hut was structurally connected to the residential buildings, adding an extra layer of complexity to the operation.
A total of 40 personnel were involved in this operation, working tirelessly to bring the fire under control. The fire was eventually extinguished, preventing any further damage to the property or surrounding buildings.
