Arsenal's seven potential transfers to fill the void left by injured Kai Havertz are unveiled, as Mikel Arteta rushes to secure a last-minute agreement
In the ongoing transfer saga, Arsenal finds itself in the market for a new striker, with Kai Havertz ruled out due to a knee injury. The Gunners have already bolstered their squad this summer, bringing in Madueke and Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea.
Arsenal has shown interest in several promising talents, with a reported shortlist of seven players under consideration. Among them are Brentford's Yoane Wissa, Fulham's Rodrigo Muniz, and Bayer Leverkusen's Victor Boniface. Other potential targets include Alexander Isak and Eberechi Eze, although their moves seem unlikely or already committed elsewhere.
One player Arsenal has been heavily linked with is Brentford's Yoane Wissa. The Bees have already lost key players Bryan Mbeumo and captain Christian Norgaard to Manchester United and Arsenal respectively. However, Newcastle United have made an improved offer of £40m for Wissa, but Brentford is thought to be seeking a fee between £50-£60m.
Another name on Arsenal's radar is Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers, who was crowned the PFA Young Player of the Year. Villa values Rogers at £80million, a hefty price for a young player yet to establish himself at the elite level.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has reportedly shown personal interest in Rogers, having congratulated Morgan in Manchester. Chelsea, on the other hand, has offered Nicolas Jackson to several clubs, including Arsenal, for a price of at least £60m. Jackson, with 30 goals and 12 assists in 81 games for Chelsea, could be an attractive option for Arteta.
Meanwhile, Chelsea's Christopher Nkunku has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, with Bayern Munich and RB Leizpig circling. Chelsea values Nkunku at £43m (€50m).
As Arsenal look to fill Havertz's void, they might also consider a move for Mikel Merino, who had a successful stint playing up front last season and could be a perfect impact sub for the Gunners.
Julian Alvarez, who has already played in the Premier League with Manchester City, is unsettled at Atletico Madrid and could be a potential target for Arsenal. However, this remains speculation at this point.
As the transfer window continues to unfold, Arsenal will be hoping to secure the services of a new attacker to bolster their squad and challenge for honours in the upcoming season.
