Arrest Made on Suspected Thieves by Vigilant Bystanders

In a shocking incident on a Friday evening in Hürth, two teenagers are accused of robbing a kiosk employee with a knife. The suspects, aged 14 and 15, reportedly entered the kiosk wearing masks and demanded cash from the employee.

The incident occurred around 5:45 PM on Krankenhausstraße. A 14-year-old suspect was held by witnesses until the police arrived, while the 15-year-old led the officers to the discarded weapon and clothing worn during the crime.

Evidence was secured in the case, and the police found suspected loot on the 14-year-old suspect. The investigation of the two suspected perpetrators is being conducted by the Criminal Investigation Department 23 (Kriminalkommissariat 23) in Hürth.

The Rhein-Erft District Police issued a statement regarding the incident, which was originally from the Polizei Rhein-Erft-Kreis and transmitted via news aktuell. The investigation continues under the supervision of the Criminal Commissioner 13.

No information was provided about the identity or whereabouts of the accomplice. The second suspect was reported to the police in Gleuel.
