Arrest Made in Suspicion of Cocaine Trafficking

In an evening operation on Monday, 18th August, a suspected drug dealer was apprehended by plainclothes police officers in the Poll neighborhood. The incident took place around 8:45 PM at the KVB bus stop "Baumschulenweg".

According to reports, an off-duty police officer had noticed three men at the bus stop, one of whom matched the description of a suspect in a previous property crime. A patrol car arrived for a routine check at the same location around the same time.

As the patrol car approached, the 35-year-old suspect, who was later identified as the individual of interest, attempted to flee towards the adjacent park. However, he was unsuccessful in escaping from the plainclothes officers.

Upon apprehension, the suspect was found to possess nearly 80 grams of cocaine and a low four-digit sum in "deal-typical" denominations.

The apprehended individual is scheduled to appear before a judge today. The sources do not reveal the name of the officer who made the initial observation leading to the arrest, but it is reported that the officer informed the police about the theft and that one suspect was caught after a chase while the other remains at large.

This arrest marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts of the police to combat drug-related crimes in the city. The public is encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
