Arrest Made in Connection with Reutlinger Fire Incident
In the early hours of Tuesday, 26.08.2025, a fire broke out in Hofstattstraße, Reutlingen. The incident, now under investigation, has led to the arrest of a 36-year-old suspect.
The fire started in a waste container and quickly spread to a garage in an adjacent house. Several residents reported the fire around 1:15 am, and the Reutlingen Fire Department was promptly dispatched. An 18-year-old was taken to the hospital due to suspected smoke inhalation.

The Public Prosecutor's Office Tübingen and the Reutlingen Police Headquarters are jointly investigating the case, which includes suspicion of arson against a woman.
The suspect was identified through video recordings and was provisionally arrested on Friday. She was presented to the judge at the Tübingen District Court on Friday afternoon, and the judge issued the warrant of arrest applied for by the Public Prosecutor's Office Tübingen. The suspect was taken to a detention facility following the court hearing.
