Arrest Made by Polish Police in Connection to Car Theft Case

In the quiet town of Paderborn-Schloß Neuhaus, an unusual incident unfolded on Saturday night, June 21. A blank-firing pistol was reported stolen from a vehicle, and the Paderborn Police were quick to respond.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 1:15 AM. A witness, who happened to have a small firearms permit, noticed the theft and reported it to the authorities. The suspects, who were observed tampering with several vehicles in a driveway, fled upon noticing the witness. The direction in which they fled remains unknown.

The police launched an immediate search and were successful in apprehending two suspects, aged 17 and 19, a short while later. One of the suspects resisted, causing a slight injury to a police officer who remained on duty. The suspects were taken into custody, and the two now face corresponding criminal proceedings.

However, the stolen pistol has not been specified as to its type or model, and it was not found during the search. The owner of the blank-firing pistol had not stored it properly, which may have contributed to the theft.

In a related development, a report was filed against the owner of the pistol for an administrative offense under the Weapons Act. The search results do not provide information about the owner of the empty firearm cartridge related to the theft.

The Paderborn Police are urging anyone with information regarding this incident or the whereabouts of the stolen pistol to come forward. The safety and security of the community is their top priority, and they are committed to solving this case.
