Yesterday afternoon, an attempted break-in occurred at an empty apartment in a multi-family house in Vaßmerstraße, Buxtehude. According to the Police Station Stade, the incident took place between 12:45 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Upon arrival, police found that an unknown suspect had rung the doorbell several times, left the scene, and returned to break the kitchen window using a stone. However, the suspects failed to gain entry and fled the scene, leaving in an unknown direction, presumably by car.

A gray Mercedes was stopped by police in Harsefeld later in the day, containing a 32-year-old driver from Hollenstedt and a 41-year-old passenger from Braunschweig. Both individuals were temporarily arrested and taken into police custody for questioning.

Investigators found evidence linking them to the attempted break-in in Buxtehude, as well as evidence of their involvement in other crimes during a subsequent search of the vehicle and an apartment in Hollenstedt.

It is important to note that this incident does not relate to the ongoing investigation into the burglary at a farmhouse in Lindenallee, Revenahe, which was reported earlier in the day.
