In an unexpected turn of events, a perpetrator attempted to rob a kiosk in Düsseldorf on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 21:40. The incident took place at a store with a kiosk, where the perpetrator, wearing a black cap, black hoodie (dark blue in colour), black pants, and black sneakers, entered the store and approached the cashier.

The perpetrator, who was around 180 cm tall, pointed a pistol and demanded cash and cigarettes. However, the perpetrator's plan took an unexpected turn when the victim, the store operator, grabbed a bottle and threatened the perpetrator with it. In response, the perpetrator quickly left the kiosk without any loot and, interestingly, left his backpack behind.

During the scuffle, the perpetrator initially fled on a bicycle but fell and continued on foot. Despite a thorough search, the perpetrator could not be identified in the given search results, and no specific information about this exact incident or the culprit is available.

The responsible homicide squad for this case is 13 of the Düsseldorf police. The weapon used in the incident was likely a blank-firing pistol, according to forensic findings. The perpetrator spoke German with a possible Eastern European or Russian accent.
