In Düsseldorf on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, an armed robbery took place at a store kiosk. The perpetrator, who remains unidentified, approached the cash register at around 21:40 and pointed a pistol at the kiosk owner, a 38-year-old individual.

The perpetrator, described as 180 cm tall, wore a dark blue hoodie, black pants, a black cap, and a black mask over his mouth. He also donned black sneakers. He demanded cash and cigarettes, placing a backpack on the counter.

In a surprising turn of events, the perpetrator racked the weapon once, but no shots were fired. The kiosk owner, in a brave attempt to protect themselves, grabbed a bottle and threatened the perpetrator. The perpetrator, seemingly startled, quickly left the kiosk without any loot, leaving the backpack behind.

Initially, the fugitive fled on a bicycle, but he fell and continued his escape on foot. Despite a search, the identity of the suspect remains unknown. The nature of the weapon, according to current forensic evidence, suggests it was likely a blank-firing pistol.

The perpetrator spoke German with a possible Eastern European or Russian accent. No specific information about the fugitive's current whereabouts is provided.
