Messi Leads Argentina to World Cup Victory in Thrilling Final

Lionel Messi, Argentina's captain, lifted the World Cup trophy on Sunday in a dramatic final against France in Doha, Qatar. The match, a rematch of the close game against the Netherlands, turned out to be a thrilling encounter that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

The final started in an unusual manner for Messi, who described it as "really weird". Despite the odd start, Argentina took a commanding 2-0 lead at half-time, with goals from Angel Di Maria and Messi himself. The Argentine team looked set for victory, but France fought back, scoring two goals to level the match at 2-2.

The game went into extra-time, and it was there that Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick, bringing the game to a shoot-out. Messi, undeterred, stepped up and netted his spot-kick, ultimately securing the victory for Argentina.

Messi admitted that his career was nearly ended after winning the World Cup, saying "my occupation is almost over because these are my ins 2014". However, he felt that his time to win the World Cup would come, despite numerous disappointments on the biggest stage in football.

After the final whistle, Messi embraced his family and team-mates, with Lionel Scaloni, Angel Di Maria, and Emiliano Martinez being particularly emotional. Besides Messi, Lautaro Martínez also moved people emotionally during the final context, scoring a goal assisted by Messi.

Messi, who has played 172 times for Argentina, scoring 98 goals since making his debut in 2005, dedicated his victory to continuing to play for Argentina. He said he wants to experience more matches as a world champion. The World Cup trophy, described by Messi as "stunning", is a testament to his determination and resilience.

The final match against France was not Messi's only goal of the tournament. He also scored two goals during the match against the Netherlands, a close game that Argentina won to secure their place in the final. Despite letting slide a two-goal lead late in the game, Argentina managed to hold on and claim victory.

The World Cup final was a fitting end to a tournament that has been full of surprises and upsets. Messi, with his talent and determination, proved once again why he is one of the greatest footballers of all time. As Argentina celebrate their victory, Messi can look back on his career with pride, knowing that he has achieved the ultimate success in football.
