Intel's Arc Pro B50, a new addition to the professional graphics card market, has been unveiled and benchmarked for the first time. This GPU, developed in partnership with Chinese company Maxsun, is part of Intel's new lineup of professional GPUs that were announced at Computex.

The Arc Pro B50 has been put through its paces in both Vulkan and OpenCL tests. In the Vulkan GPU test, the Arc Pro B50 scored an impressive 78,661 points, while in the OpenCL test, it achieved 69,890 points. These scores are noteworthy, but it's important to note that the performance of the Arc Pro B50 is relatively modest compared to other Intel Arc GPUs.

One of the key features of the Arc Pro B50 is its support for PCIe 5.0, which enables faster data transfer rates. This, along with the GPU's 16GB of GDDR6 memory across a 128-bit bus, makes it particularly beneficial in workstation scenarios. The Arc Pro B50 also boasts 16 Xe Cores, further enhancing its performance capabilities.

The Arc Pro B50 outperforms the Arc Pro A50 significantly, with a performance boost of more than 40% in the best A50 score found on Geekbench. However, it's worth mentioning that the Arc Pro B50's performance is approximately 15% lower than the Arc B570 in OpenCL and 20% lower in Vulkan.

Maxsun has announced plans to ship the Arc Pro B50 and other Pro GPUs soon, with the Intel Arc Pro B60 series, which includes the B50 model, expected to be delivered worldwide within about two weeks after launch. Some releases for related Battlemage GPUs are scheduled around December 2025.

It's important to note that the benchmark for the Arc Pro B50 was conducted on a "normal" setup, possibly internally at a manufacturer. The exact release date for the Arc Pro B50 has not been disclosed yet.

The Arc Pro B50 and the B60 series are based on the Battlemage architecture, the third iteration of Intel's contemporary graphics IP. This architecture is designed to deliver high performance and power efficiency, making it ideal for professional workloads.
