Approximately six out of every ten inhabitants of Yakutia will receive access to clean water in the current year.

In the cold and vast region of Yakutia, a significant development is taking place. The government has embarked on an ambitious project called "Zhizn" (Life), with the aim of establishing six new water treatment stations and water supply networks in the Hangalas district.

The project, which is currently underway, includes the construction of water treatment stations in Batagay, Nюrba, Alatans, Olekminsk, Berdigestyakh, and Bestyakh. These stations will be equipped with modern treatment equipment and updated pump systems, a marked improvement from the existing infrastructure.

The delivery and purchase of necessary equipment and materials for these projects have already been completed. The construction and assembly work are progressing steadily, with the goal of providing clean drinking water to the population of Yakutia.

This initiative is a significant step towards improving the quality of drinking water in the region. The completion of these water treatment stations and networks is expected to increase the proportion of the republic's population supplied with clean drinking water from centralized water supply systems to 60.4%.

Moreover, the new water treatment stations and networks are expected to contribute to a more sustainable water supply system in the Hangalas district.
