In the heart of Kaiserslautern, a historic event took place as the city hosted its first Christopher Street Day (CSD). Themed "Lauter loves it colorful - Never silent again", the day was a demonstration and festival celebrating LGBTQ+ rights and diversity.

The event, which began early in the day, saw over 800 people peacefully demonstrating in support of the CSD. The atmosphere during the march was described as peaceful, with no notable incidents reported.

However, a right-wing counter-protest was registered against the CSD. According to police reports, around 16 people attended the counter-protest, which ended around 2 pm. Despite the presence of the counter-protest, the peaceful nature of the CSD was maintained, as confirmed by a police spokesperson.

As the day progressed, the CSD transitioned into a colourful festival on the Schillerplatz. The location served as the hub for the festivities, providing a vibrant and inclusive space for the community to come together and celebrate.
