Approximately 700 individuals sustained injuries in the 'Street' area.
In the early hours of Tuesday, a distressing incident occurred at an elderly care home on Aufderhöher Straße in Solingen. A passerby discovered a severely injured elderly woman outside the building, having fallen from a first-floor window.
The woman landed on a metal grate covering a light shaft, an impact severe enough to bend the metal. Staff from the care home immediately alerted the fire department and emergency services, who arrived promptly to provide initial first aid.
The woman was then transported to a hospital in critical condition. Fortunately, according to a police spokesperson, the woman is no longer in critical condition.
The police have initiated further investigations into the cause of the accident. However, the name of the policeman responsible for the investigation at the care facility remains undisclosed.
The woman is currently receiving intensive medical treatment. Our thoughts are with her during this difficult time.
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safety measures in care homes, particularly for the elderly and vulnerable. The authorities are working diligently to ensure a thorough investigation and to implement any necessary changes to prevent such incidents in the future.
