Appropriated €17 million for police equipment and security measures

In the German state of Baden-Württemberg, a significant investment of €17 million is being made to modernize the police force. This investment aims to replace, renew, and expand the protective and deployment equipment of police officers, as well as upgrade special units, police stations, and evidence securing and documentation vehicles.

The modernization plan includes several key areas. Around 2.8 million euros will be allocated for the purchase of equipment for special units, such as application, communication, and special technology, as well as special clothing. Approximately 540,000 euros will be spent on the development and procurement of police drone fleets and drone defense technology.

Regional police headquarters will receive around 3.5 million euros for powerful flashlights, hearing protection, and ballistic protective equipment. Meanwhile, police stations can use around 500,000 euros to purchase individual equipment items.

The criminal police will benefit from an investment of around 840,000 euros for the renewal and further development of their technical equipment. This includes the acquisition of spectrometers, a DNA robot street, and X-ray systems. Additionally, around 1.5 million euros will be used for the renewal of special equipment for the criminal police.

Evidence securing and documentation vehicles and trucks will receive around 4.9 million euros in funding. Furthermore, around 1.6 million euros will be used to renew and improve the protective and deployment equipment of the regional police headquarters' alarm companies.

In terms of public relations, around 220,000 euros will be provided to support technology and measures. This includes the technical optimization of the police Baden-Württemberg's internet presence and the acquisition of media products for image cultivation and recruitment advertising.
