Approaching its finish line after a span of nearly three years, the long-awaited 1.4.5 update for Terraria is almost certainly complete: "We've entered the final stages now"

It's been nearly three years since Terraria's last update, version 1.4.4, and fans of the popular 2D survival game have been eagerly waiting for news about the upcoming 1.4.5. However, Re-Logic, the game's developer, has not shared a public timeline for the release of this update.

Despite the lack of an official release date, it's clear that Re-Logic is in the final stages of development for what may be the game's last update. The final update for Terraria, version 1.4.5, is planned to be released in late 2025.

Terraria 1.4.5 is expected to launch concurrently on all regions and supported platforms, ensuring that players worldwide can enjoy the new features together. Some of the anticipated additions include several new slime types, such as cloud slimes, dirt slimes, and granite slimes.

In addition to the new slimes, players can look forward to the inclusion of a seed menu and dynamic meteor showers. One exciting feature is the functionality of stink potions, which have been a part of the game but have yet to serve a purpose.

Perhaps the most intriguing aspect of the 1.4.5 update is the crossover items and features with Dead Cells and Palworld. Ted Murphy, from Re-Logic, joked that Terraria will never die as long as there is one last final update.

It's worth noting that all internal partners of Re-Logic are aware of the plan for 1.4.5, although no specific details have been shared with the public. While we wait for more information, fans can continue to enjoy Terraria's rich gameplay and look forward to the exciting additions coming in the final update.
