Beginning September 16th, our Communications Director is set to assume the role of Communications Director for Renault Group, taking over from Stephanie Cau who is stepping down. Under Luca de Meo, CEO of Renault Group, they will be responsible for communication matters.

Renault Group Appoints Christian Boucharel as Communications Director

Renault Group has made a significant move in its strategic transformation, appointing Christian Boucharel as its new Communications Director. Boucharel, who brings a wealth of experience and passion to the role, joined the company in November 2020.

Boucharel's career in the automotive industry spans over 20 years, with a significant portion of that time spent at PSA. He started his career at PSA in 1991 and gained experience at both central and national levels. During his tenure, he lived and worked in Belgium, France, Spain, and the UK.

In 2011, Boucharel joined the Volkswagen Group as Global Marketing Director for the SEAT brand. He later became Director of Global Communications and Public Affairs for SEAT S.A. and its SEAT and CUPRA brands in 2015. His international experience in the industry will undoubtedly help support and strengthen Renault Group's brands and influence in all countries.

Luca de Meo, CEO of Renault Group, expressed confidence in Boucharel's abilities, stating that he has extensive industry experience and a strong appetite for challenges. De Meo also acknowledged the contributions of Stephanie, expressing gratitude for her work at Renault Group.

The new communication team, led by Boucharel, is recognised for its experience and passion. The team will focus on showcasing Renault Group's know-how, historical turnaround, horizontal approach, and products. The communication efforts will target all audiences, both employees and external stakeholders.

Renault Group is accelerating its innovation approach and strategic transformation. Boucharel's appointment is a key step in the company's mission to become a leading European automaker. With his international experience and proven track record, Boucharel is well-positioned to lead the communication team and drive Renault Group's growth.

In addition to his role at Renault Group, Boucharel also held the position of Director of Revenue and Customer Experience at Ampere from November 2023. His diverse background and expertise will undoubtedly contribute to Renault Group's ongoing success.
