In the Tomsk region, residents have a reliable means of obtaining necessary information promptly, thanks to the health department's hotlines. These lines are operational 24/7 and can be reached at three different numbers: 8 (3822) 516-616, 8-800-350-88-50, and 122.
The majority of inquiries (approximately 95.4%) received by these hotlines are about the availability, cost, and pricing of drugs, dietary supplements, and medical devices in regional pharmacies. This indicates a keen interest from Tomsk residents in understanding the affordability and accessibility of healthcare products. The line for subsidized drug provision, another hotline available in the region, received 17,298 inquiries.
A smaller portion of inquiries (approximately 0.4%) address the quality of medical care. This suggests that while affordability and accessibility are key concerns, the quality of healthcare services is also important to the residents of Tomsk.
The Tomsk region health department's hotlines saw a total of 531,634 inquiries from January to August 2025. The "Beware of Ticks!" line, dedicated to providing information and advice on tick-borne diseases, received 2,003 inquiries during this period.
Robert Fidarov, head of the health department, emphasized that these hotlines remain a significant channel of communication between the public and regional healthcare. He highlighted that most standard requests, such as doctor's appointments, prescription refills, and obtaining certificates, are resolved on the same day.
The regional health authority in Tomsk is led by the Minister of Health of the Tomsk Region, responsible for managing and developing healthcare services in the area. The health department's hotlines serve as a testament to their commitment to providing accessible and efficient healthcare services to the residents of Tomsk.
