Application deadline on 10th October for involvement in Saxony-Anhalt Day 2025 held in Bernburg; Cultural Office accepts submissions for participation
The State Chancellery has announced that the annual Saxony-Anhalt Day will return in 2026, taking place from June 5 to 7 in Bernburg. This significant folk festival in Saxony-Anhalt, first launched by the state government in 1996, has since grown to become one of the largest events of its kind in the state, showcasing the regions' culture, arts, and traditions.
Magdeburg is invited to participate in this year's event, with Künstlerhaus 188 and its artists like Nora Mona Bach, Sabine Brauns, Linda Grüneberg, Rita Lass, Martin Nielebock, Stephan Schieritz, and Bianca Strauch being given the opportunity to join the festivities. These artists are actively involved in shared booths and program contributions.
Business owners and companies in Magdeburg with regionally typical products are also encouraged to participate in the Regional Village Elbe-Börde-Heide. Interested parties can register their offers and applications by October 10, 2025, either by email at [email protected] or by mail at Landeshauptstadt Magdeburg, Team Gesellschaftshaus, Schönebecker Straße 29, 39104 Magdeburg. Approximately 400 individuals from Magdeburg have the opportunity to represent the city as honorary cultural ambassadors at the festival. The Saxony-Anhalt Day 2026 will feature participation possibilities in the areas of "presentation", "stage program", and "parade".
