Electric Vehicle Charging Made Easier with the Charging Wallet

In the rapidly growing electric vehicle (EV) market, managing charging processes can sometimes be a challenge. However, a new solution is making waves: the Charging Wallet, developed by Cirratic.

The Charging Wallet is an innovative app that simplifies EV charging by providing access to a vast network of charging points across Europe. It's already being used at stations operated by Citywatt, Jolt Energy, da emobil, and illwerke in Germany, Austria, Sweden, and the Netherlands. Major operators like EnBW, Ionity, E.On, and Allego are considering adopting the Wallet, with Google reportedly showing interest to avoid being left behind in the global growth market.

With the Charging Wallet, users can easily find charging points and check their availability and prices. The app is integrated into Apple Maps, allowing users to start the charging process via a smartphone app. It also displays flexible electricity prices, providing information on where electricity is cheapest, either permanently or dynamically temporarily.

Payment for charging processes can be made via Apple Pay or mobile phone bill, adding to the convenience. The Wallet also offers detailed electricity bills to the driver or fleet operator after the charging process is completed.

Other companies whose charging apps are popular among EV owners include Shell Recharge, Aral Pulse, Enel, Fastned, Aldi, EWE.Go, and Tesla. The mobility+-App from market leader EnBW allows access to around 800,000 charging points across Europe.

Cirratic's CEO, Meusel, is confident that more charging point operators will adopt the Charging Wallet in the future. The Wallet is also accessible on car screens via Apple CarPlay, further enhancing its user-friendly nature.

For those who have accumulated multiple charging apps over the years, the Charging Wallet could be a game-changer, consolidating the charging process into one convenient app. Price differences for charging can be significant and are usually not displayed at the charging station, making the Charging Wallet's transparent pricing a welcome feature.

As the EV market continues to expand, solutions like the Charging Wallet are set to play a crucial role in making EV ownership more accessible and convenient for everyone.
