Anticipated road blockages resulting from public protests

Protests Planned Across Bavarian Cities in Early January

Farmers, logistics providers, and other sectors in Bavaria have announced a series of demonstrations from January 4 to January 12, 2024. The demonstrations will take place in the cities of Fürth and Nuremberg, with multiple routes being taken.

On January 8, 2024, three demonstrations will occur in the district of Fürth. Route 1 will start at Roundabout Dauchenbeck / Stein and travel along Hauptstraße, Bahnhofstraße, Gebersdorfer Straße, Schwabacher Straße, An der Post, Bahnhofplatz, Gebhardtstraße, Gabelsberger Straße, Kirchenstraße, Nürnberger Straße, Königstraße, Friedrichstraße, and end at Fürther Freiheit. Route 2 will start from Cadolzburg North and follow St. 2409 Flurbereinigungsweg, Egersdorf (north Edeka, dm drugstore), Staatsstraße 2409, Nürnberger Straße, Wachendorfer Straße, Cadolzburger Straße, Fürther Straße, Wachendorfer Weg, Heilstättenstraße, Breslauer Straße, Würzburger Straße, Kapellenstraße, Henri-Dunant-Straße, Königstraße, Friedrichstraße, and also end at Fürther Freiheit. Route 3 will start from Veitsbronn OMV/Bernbach, travel through Flurbereinigungsweg Behind the train towards Burgfarrnbach, Composting site, Breiter Steig, Veitsbronner Straße, Hintere Straße, Farrnbacher Bridge, Hafenstraße, Würzburger Straße, Kapellenstraße, Henri-Dunant-Straße, Königstraße, Friedrichstraße, and end at Fürther Freiheit.

On January 12, 2024, another demonstration will take place in the district of Fürth, with the route leading from Cadolzburg North towards Fürther Freiheit (Route 2). Additionally, two new routes have been announced: Route 6 from Heilsbronn and Route 7 from Langenzenn. Route 6 will start from the former B 14 directly east of Heilsbronn, travel eastbound, and end at the Volksfestplatz in Fürth. Route 7 will start at Langenzenn, Würzburger Str./Alte B8 in a southern direction, and end at the Volksfestplatz in Fürth.

The gathering points for the demonstrations are as follows: Route 6 will gather directly east of Heilsbronn, north of B 14, and Route 7 will gather in Langenzenn, at the intersection of Würzburger Str./Alte B8. The meeting/departure of both routes is planned for around 7:00 AM, and the planned departure time for both routes is not specified, but the end of the demonstrations on the Volksfestplatz is planned for around 1:30 PM.

It's important to note that disruptions are to be expected due to the demonstrations, as no convoy has been registered for the return journey of either route. The route in the district of Fürth for both routes may still be subject to change. Unfortunately, the names of the persons or groups organizing the leadership of the demonstrations on routes 1, 2, 3, 6, and 7 on January 12, 2024, in Fürth and its surroundings are not publicly available at this time. The Volksfestplatz in Fürth is the planned end point for both routes.
