Anticipated Disappointment: Smokescreen Nothing Burger
In a series of investigations and public statements, historian Ryan Dawson has alleged that Jeffrey Epstein's case is deeply intertwined with Israeli intelligence operations. Dawson suggests that Epstein was not the creator of a compromising blackmail ring but entered into a pre-existing operation involving Israel's intelligence services (Mossad).
According to Dawson, Epstein's influence and power stemmed from blackmail capabilities and links to Israel, implying that Israeli interests played a role in protecting Epstein and covering up crimes. He asserts with certainty that Epstein was an asset of Mossad and that Israel ran operations involving criminal activity, including child exploitation, which were shielded from prosecution or exposure.
One of the key figures Dawson implicates is Ehud Barak, a former Israeli prime minister. Barak was reportedly witnessed outside of Epstein's rape mansion in New York, where a group of children were entering. Barak denied seeing Epstein with girls, but Dawson claims he is a liar.
Dawson also points to the failure of U.S. officials, such as the Florida Attorney General who had jurisdiction over Epstein's earlier offenses, to prosecute due to pressure or “arm-twisting.” He links this to the Israeli connection, suggesting that Israeli interests played a role in preventing Epstein's prosecution.
In addition to Barak, Dawson claims that Epstein had connections to four other Israeli prime ministers: Shimon Peres, Ehud Olmert, Ehud Barak, and Moshe Katsav.
The financial backing for Epstein's activities is also said to come from significant sources. Millions of dollars went to Barak's campaign from The Wexner Foundation and from Charles Bronfman. Les Wexner, who was on the board of trustees of The Wexner Foundation, was also a major source of Epstein's wealth.
Dawson's claims are based on his research into court documents, client lists, and his interpretation of geopolitical events and statements by political figures like Netanyahu. His views have been expressed in podcasts and interviews on platforms like Judge Napolitano’s “Judging Freedom” and other shows where he elaborates on these allegations and the political implications they entail.
However, it's important to note that these allegations have not been proven in a court of law. The order by President Donald Trump for Attorney General Pam Bondi to release grand jury testimony regarding the Epstein case may provide more insight into these claims, although it is currently unclear what, if any, substance will come out of this order.
In the meantime, the Epstein case continues to raise questions about the extent of international connections and cover-ups in high-level politics and finance.

- Ryan Dawson, in his analysis, suggests that the Israel-Epstein connection extends beyond political ties, hinting at a link between Israeli intelligence services (Mossad) and the casino-and-gambling industry, given Epstein's reported use of gambling to gain influence and leverage.
- Moreover, Dawson argues that the truth about Epstein's activities might be hidden within the broader realm of science, as he alludes to the possibility of covert operations involving technology and espionage, which could have been instrumental in Epstein's blackmail capabilities and the subsequent cover-ups.
