Antarctica's so-called Pyramid is Unfounded
In the vast, icy expanse of Antarctica lies a natural wonder that has sparked intrigue and speculation among some: a pyramid-shaped mountain nestled within the southern Ellsworth Mountains. However, contrary to popular belief, this mountain, yet unnamed, is not evidence of an advanced, ancient (possibly extraterrestrial) civilization.
This pyramidal peak, much like the pyramids of Giza found in the Cordillera Blanca mountain range of Peru, is a natural formation. Geology experts generally consider it a coincidence, a result of the mountain's unique geographical features and the forces of nature.
The pyramid-shaped mountain is part of the Heritage Range, named after American aviator Lincoln Ellsworth. It's a sight to behold, visible from the Patriot Hills research base.
Across the globe, there are other examples of pyramidal peaks formed through natural processes. Pyramid Mountain in British Columbia, Canada, for instance, has pyramid-like sides formed through volcanic eruptions contacting ice sheets. Meanwhile, Pyrin Mountain in Bulgaria experiences similar freeze-thaw erosion due to its glaciers.
Eric Rignot, a professor of Earth system science at the University of California, Irvine, has stated that the pyramid-shaped mountain is just a mountain that looks like a pyramid. He, along with many other experts, emphasizes that no scientific evidence supports the theory of aliens creating these pyramid-shaped mountains.
One such pyramidal peak is Alpamayo, approximately 20,000 feet (6,100 meters) tall and boasting an angular glacial horn. Its formation, like that of the pyramid-shaped mountain in Antarctica, is due to natural processes.
It's important to note that Alpamayo, Pyramid Mountain, and Pyrin Mountain, like their counterpart in Antarctica, are not evidence of an advanced, ancient (possibly extraterrestrial) civilization. Instead, they are geological phenomena documented in the field of geology, with pyramidal peaks with right angles on one to two faces being a known occurrence.
So, the next time you gaze upon these awe-inspiring pyramid-shaped mountains, remember that they are not remnants of an alien civilization but rather, the result of the extraordinary power of nature.
