In the heart of Kamchatka Krai, the annual Tigil Korюshka ice fishing championship took place on the Tigil River. This year's event, held in 2025, saw 90 participants, both adults and children, vying for the top spots and exciting prizes.

The children's championship was won by Anatoly Drozdov, who caught an impressive 27 korюshka. The youngest participant in the children's championship, six-year-old Victoria Tomenyuk, also took part, showcasing the sport's appeal to all ages. Drozdov was rewarded with a laptop for his victory, while the most experienced participant, Lyubov Belomoyeva, received a certificate for "Fisherman's Sets".

In the adult championship, the competition was fierce. Raissa Myronova emerged victorious, beating Danil Ivanov by two fish. Myronova's impressive catch of 33 fish earned her the main prize - a snowmobile "Buran". The second place winner, Ivanov, received an ice auger as a consolation prize.

Marina Borgoyakova claimed third place and was awarded a tent for her efforts. The event was supported by the Governor of Kamchatka Krai, and the head of Tigil Municipal District, Andrey Prigorianu, noted Raissa Myronova's achievement in winning a snowmobile.

The Tigil Korюshka championship has been a beloved tradition since 2004, attracting fishermen from all over the region. This year's event was no exception, with the participants battling the cold and the ice to reel in their catches. As the sun sets on another successful Tigil Korюshka championship, we look forward to next year's event with anticipation.
