EAPT Russia Altai: Day 7 Recap and Upcoming Events
The seventh day of the European Poker Tour (EPT) Russia Altai event is now in the books, and the tournament continues to draw excitement and challenges for its participants.
In a notable hand during the day, Kairat "Karashishka" lost a significant number of chips to an A7, a tough beat that left him in 26th place with 51,000 chips. Despite this setback, Kairat remains a formidable contender in the competition.
Meanwhile, Timur "TimsonAAA" is holding strong in 12th place with a stack of 79,900 chips. The chip leader, however, is Dmitry Sulimenko from Russia, who currently holds a commanding lead with a stack of 173,200.
The event has seen some unexpected obstacles, such as the crowd-induced damage to the entranceway before the hotel. Fortunately, the roads in Altai remain well-maintained, making travel to and from the venue smooth for players.
Roman "Paks13" experienced an adventurous journey on the way to the hotel last night, including a tree falling in front of him. He was accompanied by a group of friends, including Sergey, Pasha, Misha, Tanner, and Kate, who helped him navigate the challenges.
Looking ahead to Day 9, the Main Event will see the start of Day 1C Turbo at 12:00, followed by Main Event Day 2 at 15:00. The Last Chance Turbo Satellite to High Roller will begin at 19:00, with a buy-in of $100 and a guarantee of 2 tickets. The High Roller, Day 1 will commence at 22:00, with a buy-in of $1,000 and a guarantee of $20,000.

The expected players for Day 9 of the Main Event include top finalists who advanced from earlier rounds, although specific names have not been publicly detailed. Players are advised to stock up on food and water in case of emergencies, as the tournament continues to test the limits of endurance and skill.
