Online education in Kamchatka region saw high participation during spring, with 80% of schools joining spring online lessons.

Almost eighty percent of Kamchatka's schools took part in online learning during the spring season.

In a noteworthy development, the Council on Improving Financial Literacy in Kamchatka Krai held a meeting on May 21, 2025, to discuss the progress made with educational institutions in the first half of the year.

One of the key highlights of the meeting was the increased participation of adult populations through social service centres. In 2025, this participation reached an impressive 78%, a stark contrast to the 22% recorded in the previous year. This development is a testament to the growing awareness and importance of financial literacy in the region.

The involvement of the elderly in financial education is also on the rise. They can now join online classes through the specialized resource pensionfg.ru. The Pension Fund of the Russian Federation (PFR) and regional government authorities are the organizations behind this resource and are working towards expanding the regional financial literacy program to reach economically active population groups.

The participation rate of general educational organisations also saw a significant increase between 2024 and 2025. A total of 81% of these organisations participated in the spring session of 2025, up from 55% in the previous year.

Professional educational institutions, too, have maintained a consistent participation rate. 90% of these institutions participated in the spring session of 2025, the same level as in 2024.

Regional Finance Minister, Alexander Butylin, announced additional events for the regional program, aimed at reaching economically active populations. Details about these events were not disclosed during the meeting.

For those looking to improve their financial knowledge, the "Distance Course for Adults" is available on the Bank of Russia University platform (https://finclass.info/home). This platform offers a range of courses designed to help individuals better understand financial matters.

The increased focus on financial literacy in Kamchatka Krai is a positive step towards empowering its residents with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their financial future.
