Almaty Wins 'Best City Tourism Promotion' at OTM Mumbai 2026

Almaty took part in one of Asia's largest international travel exhibitions—OTM Mumbai 2026.

The event brought together key players in the global tourism industry, including tour operators, airlines, hotel brands, and national tourism offices, reports our website, citing the Almaty city administration.

Kazakhstan's largest city was represented by a pavilion showcasing the modern face of the metropolis and its cultural identity, blending elements of traditional Kazakh culture, national ornate patterns, and cutting-edge multimedia solutions.

At the close of the exhibition, Almaty's pavilion was awarded the prestigious "Best City Tourism Promotion" prize, officially recognizing the high effectiveness of the city's international marketing strategy and sustained interest from foreign markets.

During OTM Mumbai 2026, Almaty's delegation held over 100 targeted B2B meetings with leading tour operators, airlines, and international hotel chains. The talks focused on boosting inbound tourism, developing new travel products, and expanding partnerships, with a particular emphasis on the promising Indian market.
