Almaty specialists discussed unique aspects of the upcoming elections

In the face of challenging conditions that limit social interaction and pose many risks, Kazakhstan is forging ahead with elections under a proportional system. This significant political event, as indicated by the implementation of a new electoral system and pandemic safety measures, demonstrates the country's progress.

The election process began in March, with citizens already informed about their polling stations for the current elections. This move towards a more democratic system is considered the most appropriate under the current circumstances, as it allows for the participation of various parties and the representation of diverse voices.

For the first time in Kazakhstan elections, primaries have been introduced. Parties are formulating their programs, engaging with the public, and presenting themselves. The role of parties, which unite people and facilitate change, is significant in democratic countries worldwide.

In this election cycle, Kazakhstan is seeing a shift from its previous electoral system. The current elections feature a change to a proportional system, making it possible for deputies to be elected for both the Mazhilis and local maslikhats. This change signifies a new era in Kazakhstan's political landscape.

Participating in elections is seen as a duty by Alua Ibrayeva, and every citizen of legal age can express their political will on election day. Strict adherence to sanitary and epidemiological norms has been ensured during the election process, ensuring a safe environment for voters.

The current elections are different from previous ones, with a 30% quota allocated for women, youth, and people with disabilities. This initiative indicates that new forces are coming into the management of the state, reflecting Kazakhstan's commitment to inclusivity and diversity.

As citizens continue to exercise their right to vote in a safe and democratic manner, the elections in Kazakhstan serve as a demonstration of the country's progress. This political event is a significant milestone in Kazakhstan's journey towards a more democratic and progressive society.
