Alleged kidnapper expressed intentions to aid the Block family.

The sixth day of the trial against Hamburg entrepreneur Christina Block saw a significant development as a defendant admitted his involvement in the alleged "operation" in southern Denmark. The defendant, a 36-year-old Israeli, claimed that he led the operation, but insisted it was not an abduction.

The defendant, who is reported to be an experienced martial artist and served part of his military service in the Israeli police, provided a detailed account of the operation. He made his statements freely without any notes, and even drew a sketch of the crime scene on his own initiative.

However, the defendant did not admit to threatening the children with death. He was overwhelmed by feelings when he saw the mother of the children on the farm in southern Germany, but he did not expect to be arrested and felt like "Superman" doing something good.

The court asked why the children were driven from Denmark to a farm in southern Germany instead of directly to Hamburg. The defendant could not answer this question. The Israeli security firm, allegedly responsible for the abduction, only spoke about the Block family's great desire and fear for their children.

Meanwhile, the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court (OLG) decided in February 2024 that German courts were no longer competent as the children had established their permanent residence in Denmark. The 36-year-old defendant's lawyer, Ingo Bott, argued that his client believed the operation was a rescue of the children from their allegedly dangerous father.

In other news from Hamm, positive trends were reported in housing construction. The city's bike leasing 2025 was focused on traffic turnaround. These developments are part of the city's ongoing efforts to improve living conditions and promote sustainable transportation.

The trial against Christina Block is expected to continue, with more testimonies and evidence to be presented in the coming days. The public awaits the court's decision on the matter, which could have far-reaching implications for child custody cases and international cooperation in such matters.
