Alexandria Kids to Explore Korean Culture in New Library Programme

A new cultural exchange programme is coming to Alexandria this autumn. The Charles E. Beatley Jr. Central Library will host Stories without Borders: Hello, Seoul! from 20 October to 10 November. The four-week event introduces local students to Korean traditions through stories, crafts, and games. The programme is open to children in grades 3 to 5. Each Monday, from 6 to 7 p.m., participants will explore a different aspect of Korean culture. Activities include storytelling, hands-on crafts, and interactive games.

The initiative is part of the library's *Stories without Borders* project. It is co-sponsored by the South Korean Library Association. Registration is required for all four sessions. The programme will wrap up with a live Zoom session. Local children will connect directly with peers in Seoul for a shared cultural experience.

The free sessions take place at the Charles E. Beatley Jr. Central Library, 5005 Duke St. Organisers encourage early sign-ups, as spaces may be limited. The final Zoom event will mark the first direct exchange between Alexandria students and children in Seoul.
