Alessandra Ferri's Dance Performance Leads to Top-tier Ranking in Dance and Subsequent High Position
In the world of dance, change is in the air as renowned ballerina Alessandra Ferri takes on the role of director at both the Volksoper and Staatsoper in Vienna.
Ferri, a muse for significant choreographers throughout her illustrious career, has a clear vision for restoring synchronization in dancers. Her approach is simple yet effective: hard work.
The upcoming season at the Volksoper will see the premieres of two captivating productions. "Marie Antoinette" by Thierry Malandain and "American Signatures" will grace the stage, although the specific dancers involved are yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, at the Staatsoper, the premieres for the new season include "Kallirhoe" by Alexei Ratmansky and "Visionary Dances," featuring works by Justin Peck, Wayne McGregor, and Twyla Tharp. "Kallirhoe," a narrative ballet based on the earliest fully preserved ancient love novel, will make its debut under Ferri's directorship on October 19.
Ferri's advice for young dancers with big dreams is as inspiring as her career. She encourages them to have a vision but to build day by day, focusing on the love for the daily work rather than success or the final product.
In a strategic move, Ferri has secured French ballet dancer Patrick Armand for the director's post of the ballet academy.
