Alan securely concluded his participation in the competition held in Cyprus, attaining a commendable 5th position.

In the highly-anticipated UPS Grand Final held in Cyprus, our forum member Alan 'Aln' secured a commendable 5th place finish in the Lotos Poker Cup. The tournament, with a buy-in of €500 and a guaranteed prize pool of €70,000, drew a diverse field of players from around the globe.

Alan shared his experience, stating, "Playing against Russians was a challenge; they tended to raise and three-bet frequently. The first day was particularly tough as my cards just wouldn't run. However, on the second day, I managed to score a few eliminations, securing a double up and ending the day in 26th place out of 129 players."

As the money places neared, Alan strategicly folded his way into the Iron Man Test (ITM). He entered the final table with a stack of 80K.

In a pivotal hand at the final table, Alan went head-to-head with Fally. Fally all-in with KK, while Alan held the superior AK. A turn of fortune brought a T on the river, granting Alan a double up.

Throughout the tournament, Alan doubled through Yunus and experienced fluctuating card Luck. But as the tournament reached its conclusion, his cards ran dry, leaving him in 5th place.

While his journey to the final table was marked by high stakes and tense moments, Alan expressed satisfaction, "I managed to cover my expenses and maintain a good result, which feels satisfying."

Lacking definitive information about the specific UPS Grand Final or the Lotos Poker Cup, it is unclear if this event is related to the recently held Mediterranean Poker Party (MPP) or the upcoming World Poker Tour (WPT) Cyprus Championship. Nonetheless, players at the tournament appeared to be a mix of regulars and professionals, with the organization deemed acceptable, albeit chatty about guarantees and wins.

Alan concluded, "Overall, it was a great experience, but it seems the series underperformed, which is unfortunate. I appreciate everyone's support, and I wish everyone luck in their future tournaments."

What about the casino-games and poker sessions at a different event? Alan is looking forward to testing his skills, perhaps even trying his hand at casino-and-gambling, including sports betting for a change.
